Enjoy chicken strips again without all those funky ingredients from pre-packaged options. In just a few minutes, you'll be smelling the aroma of this homemade version baked on a single sheet pan alongside cheesy broccoli.
Kitchen sanity tip: Line your pan with foil for easy clean-up.
Ingredients
- 3 TBS Tweaked Taco Seasoning Mix
- 1 lb chicken
- .5 cup panko bread crumbs
- 3 TBS oil, divided
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- .5 cup shredded cheese (Mexi blend tastes great with the Taco flavor but you can use any)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Combine the Tweaked Taco and panko in shallow dish and blend well.
- Place broccoli in large bowl and add 2 tablespoons of the oil; toss to coat.
- Sprinkle broccoli with half of the panko mixture; toss until evenly coated.
- Place broccoli on one side of a foil-lined baking sheet/pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray.
- Brush chicken with remaining 1 tablespoon oil.
- Coat evenly on both sides with remaining panko mixture.
- Discard any remaining panko mixture.
- Place chicken on other side of baking pan.
- Bake 12 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheese evenly over broccoli.
- Bake 3 minutes longer or until chicken is cooked through and cheese is melted.
Tips
For those who prefer to dip their chicken in ranch, you can make a Zesty Ranch by combining our Just Ranch and Tweaked Taco with sour cream and mayo. Yum!!
